He was predeceased by: his mother-in-law Susan E. Folckemmer. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Mitchell (Folckemmer); his children, Henry and Annie; his parents, Sean M. Mitchell and Teri Mitchell (Farrell); his sisters, Erin Mitchell, Bridget Nolte (Shane) and Molly McCue (Tom); his father-in-law Stephen K. Folckemmer; his brother-in-law Chris Folckemmer (Diane); and his nieces, Lucy, Penny, Sloane and Maggie.
