He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Coombs and Dora Rose Coombs. He is survived by: his wife Claire Gallagher Coombs; and his sons, Jeffrey R. Coombs of Ridley Park, PA, Gary T. (Michele Coombs) and Douglas J. (Eileen Coombs). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and twenty great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
