He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Shaffer and Jenny Francis Shaffer (Hunter); and his sisters, Mabel Tudor, Irene Raybuck and Louise Crawford.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Kathryn Burkhouse; his children, Bradley W. Shaffer (Lisa) and Penny A. Smith (Dean); and his siblings, Barbara Smith, Diane Bell and Robert Shaffer. He is also survived by his family and friends.
