He is survived by: his wife Joanne Elaine Zerbe (Bixler); his children, Linda Kay Arnold of New Cumberland, William H. Zerbe (Karen) of Enola, Kathleen M. Stauffer (Michael) of Dover, Michael L. Zerbe (Denise) of Hershey, Merrill S. Zerbe (Tina) of Lewisberry, James L. Zerbe (Gabrielle) of Harrisburg and Christopher S. Zerbe of Elizabethville; and his stepchildren, Robin A. Chohany (Dave) of New Oxford, Carol Slatt of Mount Wolf and Timothy L. Nuttle of New Cumberland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and great-greatgrandchildren.
