He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Sertz and Charlotte Sertz (Klein); and his wife Margaret Ann "Peggy" Sertz (Gillick). He is survived by: his children, Stephen Sertz and Kathleen Murphy (Michael); his grandchildren, Kayla Murphy and Zachary Sertz; his siblings, Charleen Sertz, Jim Sertz (Kathy), Ron Sertz (Emily), Mary Lou Betcher (Charlie) and Rick Sertz (Lisa); and his sisters-in-law, Arlene Brink and Lucille Fischer (Bob). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society.
