He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Leroy and Geraldine Ruth Hetz (Elwinger); his brother Teddy Hetz; his nephew T. J. Hetz; and his brothers-in-law, Ken Vollmer and James McDonald.
He is survived by: his wife June Hetz (Smith); his children, Kurt Hetz (Marge), Kara Hetz (Timothy Bryan), Kraig Hetz (Jennifer) and Kim Cullen (Stephen); his grandchildren, Emily Hetz, Katie Hetz, Olivia Shine, Cleo Shine, Tyler Hetz, Jordyn Hetz, Jessica Hetz, Lynne Cullen, Liam Cullen and Pierce Cullen; his sister Mary Lou McDonald; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Hetz and Joan Vollmer. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews.
