He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Carlson and Alma Carlson (Sundback); his wife Mary Lou Carlson (Harper); his son Gary Carlson; and his siblings, Helen Federico and Charles Carlson.
He is survived by: his daughter Gail McDonald (John); his daughter-in-law Thongsit Carlson; his sons, Eric Carlson (Barb) and Dean Carlson (Nadine); and his grandchildren, Nathan, Amy, Jendi, Tyler, Erica and Lena. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
