It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Schlager Douglass of Fairview, Pennsylvania, born in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Frederick James and Julia Schlager Ames James of Maple Avenue; her daughters, Elizabeth Jean Douglass and Fanny Schlager Douglass; her sister Fanny James Marshall; and her son-in-law Donald Baker.
She is survived by: her husband Alfred John Douglass; her children, Lynda Joan Baker of East Greenwich, RI and James Ross Douglass (Megan Mahoney Douglass) of Basalt, CO; her grandchildren, Wade Douglass Baker of Rhode Island and Linzhi Patricia Douglass of Basalt, CO; her nephew J. Christopher Marshall; and her niece Melissa Marshall Bartkow.
