He was predeceased by: his parents, Burdette Morton and Anna Morton (Barrante); his wife Nancy Morton (Crowl); his son Jeffrey P. Morton; and his stepfather Eugene W. Fileger.
He is survived by: his sons, Stephen B. Morton (Jena) of Fairview and David S. Morton (Mark) of Erie; his granddaughter Jewell Melisa Morton of Fairview; and his brother Thomas A. Morton of Girard.
