He was predeceased by: his parents, Josiah N. Schnell and Minnie Sumney Schnell; his wife Margaret L. "Peg" Schnell; and his siblings, Earl Schnell and Clara Mae Edmonds.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ralph Schnell (Wilma) of North Washington, Lee Roy Schnell (Sara) of Karns City, Larry "Pete" Schnell (Judy) of Karns City, James Schnell (Ruth) of Chicora, Dennis Schnell (Marjorie) of Kennesaw, GA, Helen Stewart of Virginia, Maxine Craig of Chicora and Mary Jo Maurhoff (Doyle) of Petrolia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
