He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sowers and Leah Jane Sowers (Hanan); and his wife Janet L. Sower (Gibson). He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Sowers (Karen) and Dawna Allison (Ken) of Fairmount City; and his sisters, Margaret "Peg" Sowers of Vandergrift, Alma Gestner of Apollo and Velma Knell of Leechburg. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren.
