He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael O'Neil and Susan O'Neil (Kern); his brother W. Dean O'Neil; his sister-in-law Rita G. O'Neil; and his nephew Roger O'Neil.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Jean O'Neil (Brocht); his children, Tammy Hoover (Jeff), Heidi O'Neil and Michael S. O'Neil; his brother Kenneth O'Neil (Lynnie); his siblings-in-law, Kay Crissinger and C. Richard Brocht (Michele); and his nieces and nephews, Ryan, Jacque O'Neil, Cindy, Patrick McCormick, Brenda, Ron Burner and Emily Brocht.
