He was predeceased by: his parents, Verdie "Bert" Emerick and Leora C. Emerick (Emerick). He is survived by: his siblings, George "Hop", James, Big Bad John, Merle, Paul, Robert, Wayne Emerick, Sharon Haggerty, Wilma Hatridge, June Kimmel, Betty Clites of Hyndman and Pauline Moore of Hyndman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
