She was predeceased by: her mother N. Gertrude Boyer; her husband Douglas R. Piper, Sr.; her granddaughter Jennifer Geesaman Roth; her brothers, Eugene Boyer and Bruce Boyer (Shirley); and her children-in-law, Elaine Gladhill Piper and Gary Hurley.
She is survived by: her children, D. Ray Piper, Jr. (Barbara) of Fairfield, Brenda Piper Geesaman (Donald) of Fairfield, Wayne Piper of North Carolina, Susan Piper Hurley of Fairfield and Dale Piper (Annette) of Fairfield; and her sister-in-law Joan Boyer of Knoxville, MD.. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, twelve great-great grandchildren.
