He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rivera and Barbara Ackerson; and his sister Elise Rivera. He is survived by: his stepfather Barry Mason; his wife Becky Britton; his children, Bradley Rivera (Marie Whatley) of Forest City and Maurielle Rivera of Factoryville; his granddaughters, Danielle and Katie; and his siblings, Jim Rivera of Northampton, L. M. Pilar Rivera of Annville, Leslie Mason Moran of Scranton and Penny Mason Rekow.
He enjoyed Bowling, ballroom dancing, also while at the Parkinson's gym he went to his Rock Steady boxing class.
