She was predeceased by: her husband Julius "Chickie" Smargiassi; her parents, Francis J. Muchal and Theresa M. Toczydlowski Muchal; and her brother-in-law Dr. Thomas Villeneuve. She is survived by: her pet Bruno; her children, Julius J. Smargiassi (Courtney) and Gina Zory (Ron); her sisters, Gloria Delicati (Paul), Diane Villeneuve and Roxanne Kiehart; and her grandchildren, Dante, Liliana Smargiassi, Emma and Audrina Zory.
