He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph George and Helen Isaac George of Wilkes-Barre; and his siblings, Catherine Pipech, Mamie George, Joseph George Jr., Leila Yenchak, Margaret Volovic, Josephine Fluegel, Carol Marinetti and Anthony George.

He is survived by: his wife Marie Angelella; his son Francis Jr. (Scranton); his grandson Adrian; his mother-in-law Josephine Angelella; and his siblings-in-law, Jean Noss (Bill), Josephine Bradley (Roger) and John Angelella. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony/ St. George Maronite Catholic Church (311 Park Ave, Wilkes-Barre Township, PA 18702). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. George Maronite Catholic Church (311 Park Ave, Wilkes-Barre Township, PA 18702). A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. Mary's Cemetery.

Francis contributed to the Gift of Life and requests that in lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Anthony's Maronite Church, 311 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, PA.
