He was predeceased by: his father John Francis Sabbi. He is survived by: his mother Judith Sabbi; his sister Jane Economou; his brother-in-law Peter Economou; and his nieces, Allie Economou and Katie Economou. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter, in honor of John's passion for animals.
