He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“My heart goes out to your family. I grew up in Franklin Estates, just two doors down from Tom. He and I shared many a day caddying at the country club, playing handball on the street or walking on summer nights, talking and laughing. We shared time in a small band in 1984. We were very close at one time. Changes in life pull people apart, but memories stay and smiles reappear. God's speed Tom. ~David Baker”
