She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Dewey and Ella Mae Strunk (Lomison); her husband McDowell Thomas Peters, Jr.; her daughter Anita Tarpley (late Andy); and her siblings, Edward Strunk, Willard "Gib" Strunk, Audrey Long, Phyllis "Til" Carter, Iris Workman and Faye Jeannette Strunk.
She is survived by: her daughters, Darlene Mittan (Daniel), Nadine Peters, Naomi Peters and Stephanie Akut (Sanjay); her grandchildren, Andrew Tarpley, Michaelia Austin, Danielle Tarpley, Donia Tarpley, Kristin Jackson, Kaylin Satterfield, Garrett Mittan, Zach Pamfilie, Brenden Akut, Dylan Akut and David Egbo; and her great grandchildren, Emily Tarpley, Gwen, Lincoln Austin, Andi, Adaline Cotter, Elanie, Sophia, Cassia, Alexander Jackson, Wesley, Caroline Satterfield, McKenna and Jameson Mittan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
