He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee William Holmes and Florence Winnifred Butler; his grandson David Luther; and his siblings, Maurice, Gerald, Harland, Lee W. Holmes Jr. John and Royal Dutch Airlines.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Crispell; his children, Deborah Luther (Donald), John Holmes, Jr. (C. C.) and Randy Holmes (Christine); and his pet Skinny. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
