He was predeceased by: his parent David W. Borland; and his siblings, Tom, Dave, Bob and John Borland.

He is survived by: his parent Lulu Borland (Stimmel); his grandchildren, Beth Jennings (Doug) of Gilbert, Ariz., Jennifer Martinez (Dan) of Tempe, Dennis Borland (Jennifer) of Johnstown and Charlie Borland (Suzanne) of Gilbert; and his nieces and nephews, Alethea Dunn (Thomas) and Helen Geiger.
