He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Benson and Virginia Carr Benson; his wife Carol A. Austin Benson; and his sister Danielle A. Hogan. He is survived by: his sons, Carl M. Benson and Benjamin Benson (Debbie); his grandsons, Tim and Dan; and his siblings, Virginia Starcevic, Mary Patricia Betar (Donnie), Mark Benson (Susie), Ida "Sissy" Hutchinson and Jacqueline Spagiare (Bob). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
