He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Smith and Marie Smith (Trexler); his stepson Christopher Cooper; and his siblings, Rita Miedl, Charles, James, Thomas, Dorothy, Raymond Smith, Mildred Gray Stafford and Mary Kruise Snowberger.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Smith (Dovala); his stepchildren, Theresa M. Miles (Brandon) of Presto and Donald E. Cooper (Michelle) of Pittsburgh; his grandsons, Andrew, Zachary Miles, Clayton and Carson Cooper; and his siblings, Ruth M. Novack, George E. Smith, William E. Smith and Dolores Perkins.
