She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Arvin and Florence Arvin (Messersmith); and her sisters, Flora George and Irene Deremer. She is survived by: her husband Floyd R. Mearkle; her children, Lucy Mearkle (Bill Beck) of Everett and Gerald Mearkle (Barbara); her grandchildren, Cindi Feather, Charles Feather and Jamie Mearkle; her great grandchildren, Shane and Scott Feather; and her sisters, Olive Smith and Dorothy Morral.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Akers Funeral Home (299 Raystown Rd, Everett, PA 15537). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
