He is survived by: his children, James Hillegas-Elting (Jennifer) of Auburn, Nebraska and Kristina Kieffer (Jerry) of Newport, Oregon; his siblings, Larry Hillegas of Somerset and Kay Walters of Gettysburg; and his granddaughter Luna. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
