He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul J. McElhinny and Elizabeth Hutchinson McElhinny; his wife Carole S. Cole McElhinny; and his siblings, Paul R., Samuel, Ronald "Bones", Daniel McElhinny, Isabelle McElhinny, Nancy Bogan and Zeruiah Moore.
He is survived by: his son David McElhinny (Bonnie) of Mars; his grandsons, Sean and Adam; and his siblings, Elizabeth "Betsy" Darling of Scotia, N. Y., Patrice Hughes (William) of Seaford, DE, Jerome McElhinny (Marilyn) of Evans City and Zeno McElhinny (Becky) of Evans City.
