It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ida L. Laquatra Yeager (Evans City, Pennsylvania), who passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. For Ida is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack LaQuatra and Nellie Mekonis LaQuatra. She is survived by: her children, Rachel Alteres of Evans City and Joshua Altares; her grandson Zackery Altares; and her siblings, Roseanne Laquatra McCampbell (Ida), Carolyn Laquatra Dish (Vince Dish), Lydia-Laquatra Fesler (Paul Fesler) and Paul LaQuatra (Effie Alexander LaQuatra). She is also survived by her friend and ex-husband and countless nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home (328 W Main St, Evans City, PA 16033).
