Lee A. Varner Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lee A. Varner of Etters, Pennsylvania, born in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 14, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Austin and Beulah Elizabeth Varner (Keeseman); and his brother Glenn Varner of Carlisle. He is survived by: his sister Janet Beam of Shippensburg; his wife Barbara E. Varner (Derr); his stepchildren, Richard Spidle (Jean) of Mechanicsburg and Cynthia Joshua of New Castle, DE; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew, Alexandria Spidle and Imanuel Joshua; his daughters, Michele Barrett (John) of Carlisle and Sherri Durfee of Atlanta, GA; and his granddaughters, Brittany Wood, Heather and Hannah Barrett. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
To honor the life of a good man, while there will be no formal services, Lee's family asks friends to simply offer a toast to his memory and consider making a contribution in his memory to one of his favorite charities: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project, or to a local food bank.
