He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Pierce and Richard Merchant Jr.; and his sister Marilyn A. Miniconzi. He is survived by: his brothers, Glenn and Robert Merchant; his stepmother Dorothy Merchant; his niece Arlene Miniconzi-Lunness (Michael); his nephews, Joseph, Richard Miniconzi and Matthew Merchant; his great-nephew Joseph Miniconzi III; and his great-nieces, Faith and Neriah Merchant.
