He is survived by: his son Herbert (Rosina Isele Heckendorf); his wife Margaret Govina; his children, Robert Heckendorf of Atlanta, GA and Dana Lee Kalina of Orange, CT; his stepsons, Michael Thomas Putnam (Laura) of Andover, MA and Matthew John Putnam (Maria) of Espyville; and his brothers, Amos Heckendorf of Massachusetts and Michael Heckendorf of Woodstock, CT. He is also survived by three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; one great grandchild; one step great grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
