She was predeceased by: her father Wilbert Dawson; and her siblings, Peggy Dawson and Randy Dawson. She is survived by: her mother Geraldine Dawson (Barnett); her husband Joseph V. Schaefer Sr.; her sons, Joseph V. Schaefer Jr. (Jessi) and Brad Schaefer (Kelly); her grandchildren, Allissa (JT) of Joseph, III, Caleb and Leila; and her siblings, Wilbert Dawson III (Deb), Linda Lemke and John Dawson (Kathy).
