He was predeceased by: his adoptive father George. He is survived by: his wife Constance Edmonds Kallenbach; his grandchildren, Jessica (CJ Castillo), Daniel Kendra, Tyler, Derek, Avery Bell, Ivey and George O'Brien; his great grandchildren, Eleanor and Lorena Castillo; and his siblings, Mary Fowler and Mark Kallenbach (Dottie).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Doylestown Hospice or Tunnels to Towers.

“George will be missed. Bruce and I have many happy memories of times spent together with George and Connie. We remember how happy he was taking us for a ride in his Woody on Lake George and all of our boating adventures together on the Chesapeake with our boating club. He was the happiest guy and always made us feel like family.”

As one of the teachers at Barclay Elementary School where he was a principal, my experiences (along with others) teaching there varied somewhat with all the positives mentioned in his obit. But reading what was written, I can more fully understand his approach to the job and his relationship (such as it was) with me. All together he certainly had an interesting life.
