He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Dobrzynski and Jessie Dobrzynski; his brother John "Jack" Dobrzynski; and his brother-in-law Jim Robb. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn; his children, Karen Dobrzynski (Rich), Philip Dobrzynski (Donna), Peter Dobrzynski (Cathy) and Julie Smith (Andrew); his grandchildren, Alexis, Ryan, Rachel, Jacob, Molly and Andrew; his sister Geraldine Robb; and his sister-in-law Barbara Dobrzynski. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
