It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Maniece of Erie, Pennsylvania, born in Hazard, Kentucky, who passed away on November 29, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Van Smith, Sr. and Myrtle Olinger Smith; her husband William Maniece; and her siblings, Van Smith, Jr., George Smith, Robert Smith, James Smith, Margaret Hogg (Sis), Ruth Hogg, Monica Smith and Joyce Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Yvonne Woodard of Erie and William Maniece, Jr. (Sherry) of Bowie, MD; her grandchildren, Steffanie Jasper (Michael) of Pittsburgh, Marcel Maniece (Kennya) of Atlanta, GA, Michael Maniece (Erin) of Laurel, MD, Shanell Maniece of Baltimore, MD, Mica Anderson (Eric) of Aurora, CO and Sage Maniece of Bowie, MD; her great grandchildren, Lauren, Natalie, Matthew Jasper, Marcel, Jr., Sa'niyah, Malaya, Morgan, Stephanie Maniece, McKenna, Mia Maniece, Shawn Wright and Axel Anderson; and her brothers, Donald Smith (Carol) and Sam Smith (Helen) of Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
