The memory of Virginia C. (Detzel) Strobel of Erie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 24, 2025 at the age of 101, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Detzel and Margaret Detzel (Emling); her husband Roil Strobel; and her siblings, Frederick Detzel, Marion Stafford, Marjorie Sanders, Marie Blasco and James Detzel.
She is survived by: her children, James A. Strobel (Phoebe) and Gail Namey (Samuel) of Erie; her grandchildren, Bethany Vigorito (Michael), Jennifer Greene (Michael), Beth Ann Kovitch (Jeremy) and Samuel Namey Jr. (Amanda); and her great grandchildren, Sydney Greene and Cameron Anthony Namey.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory (1595 W 38th St, Erie, PA 16508). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
