She was predeceased by: her parents, Elisabeth Piroth (Robert Piszczek) and Leonard Piroth; her husband John; her in-laws, Marie and John P. Smith; her brother-in-law Thomas G. Smith; and her friends, Heidi Mackes, Kenneth Smith, Karl Kraus, Erika Scheld, Harold and Helen Synder.
She is survived by: her children, Julia Smith (Marc), Michelle Sito (Christopher) and Michael Smith (Lisa); her grandchildren, Emily, Sophie, Eric and Christopher (Carly); her sister-in-law Barbara Smith; her cousin Ursula Wintermeyer (Reinhold); her godchildren, Eric Dudenhoffer and Christine Mackes; and also, Sabine, Lena and Sophie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Blessed Sacrament Church, Sisters of St. Joseph of Erie, and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
