With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas F. Walsh of Erie, Pennsylvania, born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 11, 2024 at the age of 70. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Thomas F. Walsh to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his father Dr. John Walsh; his sister Kathleen Walsh; and his niece Dr. Sarah Levitz. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Nicolette Walsh (Castillenti); his children, Leslie Cyprych (Gregory), Dr. Emily Walsh (Stephen McCarthy), Dr. Julie Walsh and Natalie Walsh; his grandchildren, Stephen Walsh McCarthy and Niko Francis Cyprych; his mother Geraldine Walsh; and his siblings, Mary Elizabeth Schwartz (Robert), Ann Walsh (Peg Bennett), Maureen Walsh, Ellen Drury (Scott), Jane Levitz (Michael), John Walsh (Beth) and Eileen Matthews (Brian).

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions to Allegheny Health Network, Designation Oncology Patient Care Fund at Saint Vincent Hospital (https://www.ahn.org).

“It seems like only yesterday that we were enjoying life, laughs, and sports on Denniston Ave. I remember watching Tom throw the football half way down Denniston Ave and being an awe of him. He was someone we all looked up to. Unfortunately, he passed away much too soon. However, he left a strong legacy with his dedication to family, friends, work, and his patients. Tom is a first ballot “Hall of Famer” from Dennison Ave! RIP Tom, your spirit lives on in each of us! Patrick Wallace”
