He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Chapman and Ann Neider Gardner; his son Terrance Donald "Rance" Gardner, Jr.; and his brothers, Charles, Timothy and William Gardner.
He is survived by: his wife Winifred "Winnie" Gardner (Jones); his children, Alanna Gardner, Brian Gardner (Ann Marie) and Kristine Edwards (Douglas); his sister Judy Moorehead (Sam); and his granddaughters, Eva, Desiree (Ryan), Danielle (Nelson), Jennifer (Conor), Stephanie and Athena. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
