With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Philip John McAfee of Erie, Pennsylvania, born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 6, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Philip and Mary McCreary McAfee; his grandson Andrew Philip Spekhart; and his brother-in-law Donald Shaner, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Sally Shaner McAfee; his daughters, Lori Shifflett (Reid), Edith Gustason (Thomas) and Kelli Thornhill; and his sister Esther Gelles (Charles) of Johnstown. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
