She was predeceased by: her parents, Sara Volkstadt and Charles F. Powers; her husband Melvin Steves; her daughter Judith Steves; her brothers, Charles W. Powers and Rev. Richard E. Powers (Frances Powers); and her sons-in-law, Danny Plymel and John Peters.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Elizabeth Hajduk of Tonawanda, NY; her children, Kathleen Plymel of Jacksonville, FL, Deborah Woolverton (Jon) of Hartstown, PA, Cynthia Howland (David) of West Springfield, PA, Margaret Lombardi (Angelo), Roberta Peters (Steven) and Michael Steves (Deborah) of Erie; and her grandchildren, Corey Plymel, Melissa Thatcher, Scott Bolger, Tracey, Kelsey Howland, Angela Kaiser, Danielle Lombardi, Lauren Alverson, Nicholas, Shannon, Collin, Riley Steves, Brett and Cassandra Peters. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
