It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mittie Nettie Smith (Erie, Pennsylvania), who passed away on December 17, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Willie Armwood; her husband Freeman Smith; and her son Douglas Freeman. She is survived by: her parent Ruby Armwood; her children, Dwight Dougles Smith of Erie, Wade Smith of Erie, Bernie Smith of Erie, Nettie Smith of Erie and Sandy Smith of Erie; and her sisters, Sadie Newkirk of North Carolina and Hattie Barnett of Erie. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
