He was predeceased by: his siblings, Michelle, Kathryn "Katie", Daniel Jr. "Danny Boy", Charles "Chuckie" and David Coates; his stepdaughter Kimberly Mitchell; and his wife Connie.
He is survived by: his son Michael, Jr. (Yolanda) of Dearborn, MI; his stepchildren, Danielle King (Shawn) of Jamestown, NY, Stephanie Hall (James) of North Carolina and Corry Green of Jamestown; his siblings, Patricia Thomas of Erie, Nina Ross of Clinton Twp, Denise Wilkerson of Kingwood, TX and Dennis Coates (Kathy) of Erie; his siblings-in-law, Penny (Dave) of Erie and Butch Asel of Panama, NY; and his father-in-law Ralph Ansel of Panama. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
