He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Elwell and Violet Fehlman Elwell; his wife Lori; and his half-brother Don Herrington. He is survived by: his sons, Chris Elwell (Greta), Mark Elwell (Beth) and Mathew Elwell (Tracy); his stepdaughters, Rebecca Feick (Rob) and Monica Himmel; his grandchildren, Daria, Caden, Eric, Ben, Megan, Kianna, Emma, Abby and Desmond; and his siblings, Viva "Jeanette" Hallas, Doug Elwell (Kelly), Sandy Reagan and John Elwell.
