He was predeceased by: his adoptive father Charles "Pops" Gunns; his father-in-law Robert Hoover; and his parents, Robert Strieder and Barbara Strieder. He is survived by: his wife Andrea; his children, Nicholas (Randi) of Arcadia, Alexandra "Ali" Walker (Adam) and Heather "Hebby" Gunns of Pittsburgh; his grandsons, Leland Darnell and Lane Gunns; his mother-in-law Audrey Treiber Hoover; his brother-in-law Timothy Hoover (Valerie); and his siblings, Mindy Gunns of Erie, Mary Tubbs (Mike) of Erie, Roberta Busi (Rick) of Erie and John Strieder of Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
