She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Lofton and Bessie "Woodard" Lofton; her granddaughter Geralyn "Jeannie" Thomas; her husband John McLendon; her children, Larry McLendon and Geraldine McLendon; and her siblings, Albert, Arthur Wayne, Earl, Wilbert, Nate, Ollie Lofton and Odell "Curtis" Woodard.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara (Kathy), Evans of Austell, GA, John "Michelle" McLendon of Painesville, OH and Donna "Jerry" Taylor of Sandusky; her grandchildren, Brooke Martin, Darius Edwards, Kimberly Evans, William "Jerrelle" Franklin, Jerry "Milan" Taylor Jr., Jerron Taylor, Corey McLendon and Dayonna Taylor; and her siblings, Roy of Shubuta, MS, Robert "Junior" of Shubuta, MS, Gracie Lofton of Great Neck, NY, Evon "Robert" Carter of Erie, PA, Louise "Billie" Moffett of Erie, PA, Mary "Gregory" Myers of Erie, PA and Nollie "Trish" Lofton of Erie, PA. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A wake was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at the Toft Funeral Home, Wakeman Chapel (16 Cooper St, Wakeman, OH 44889). Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, Sandusky Chapel (2001 Columbus Ave, Sandusky, OH 44870). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Porter's Memorial C. M. E. Church (1722 3rd St, Sandusky, OH 44870).
