He was predeceased by: his parent Helen Mullen; his sister Mary Ward; and his stepsiblings, John Walters and Joann Anselmen. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Mullen (Vatter); his children, Joseph Mullen (Kari), Crystal Mullen Lisa Mullen (Jason Arble), Patricia Mullen (Kevin Price) and Helen Mullen (Kyle Rand); and his grandchildren, Ashley, Midajah, Bianca, Izabella, Michael, Jaden, JaNiah, Olivia, Rayne, August and Jason Jr..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
