He was predeceased by: his parents, George J. Suchy and Anna Popovich Suchy (Pawloski); his stepfather Walter Suchy; his siblings, Shirley Nientimp (George), George and Donald Popovich; his parents-in-law, John and Josephine Dobrowolski; his siblings-in-law, Barbara Miller, Sandra Farrell, Joyce Dobrowolski and John Dobrowolski; his close friends, Bob Trocki and Dick Raleigh; and his godsons, Tommy Simon, Jimmy Farrell and Paul Minnich.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patti" Popovich (Dobrowolski); his daughters, Lisa Corsale (Frank), Erin Fontana (Don) and Julie Smith (Steven); his grandchildren, Joseph, Justin, Abigail Corsale, Fulton, Andrew, Josephine, Stella, Cecilia, Blaise Fontana and Stone Smith; his godchildren, Jill Farrell-Pedro, Pam Trocki-Ables, Anthony Dobrowolski and Desiree Kennedy; his brother-in-law Gary Miller; and his close friend Shirley Raleigh (Mike Jackson). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory (1595 W 38th St, Erie, PA 16508). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Stanislaus Church (516 E 13th St, Erie, PA 16503).
