He is survived by: his wife Jerolyn "Jerri" Smith Thompson; his son Daniel Thompson; his sisters, Beth Powers and Ellen Frank (Denny); and his nieces and nephews, Sharon Yost, Julie David (Phillip), Casey Frank, Kym Gack (William), Linda Surles (Daniel), Amy Smith, David and Wayne Powers.
