He is survived by: his close friend Chris Weist; his children, John Stephen Thomas Jr., Jamie Thomas and Laura Thomas of Jackson Tennesse; his grandchildren, Kavion and Amira Thomas of Erie Pa; and his siblings, Mary Nell Thomas of Erie Pa, Vernee Durr of Erie Pa, Janice Thomas of Erie Pa, David Thomas (Lynette) of Erie Pa and Deborah Taylor-Byrd of Erie Pa. He is also survived by many Nieces & Nephews.
